Iran threatens to close int’l waterways if Israel’s crimes in Gaza continue

Tehran (Quds News)- Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened today to close the remaining international waterways if Israel continues committing crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohammad Reza Naqdi, stated in a speech today at a memorial ceremony for the former Iranian Ambassador Hassan Erloo in Yemen, that “the United States and its allies should wait for the birth of new resistance forces in the region and the closure of the remaining waterways if the crimes of the Zionist entity persist in Gaza.”
Naqdi added that the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz “turned into a nightmare in the past, and today they are paralyzed in Bab al Mandab strait and the Red Sea.”
“If the crimes persist”, Naqdi added, “they should wait for the closure of the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the remaining passages against them soon.”
The statement come as the Houthis continue to attack Israeli ships, as well as those linked and heading to Israel. The attacks started as a response to the genocide the Israel has been committing in the Gaza Strip. They created an escalating problem in the Red Sea for maritime navigation.
The Houthis’ attacks target ships linked to Israel en route to the Egyptian Suez Canal or from it.
