Iran launches first wave of missile strikes on Israel, warns of escalation if Israel attacks back

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has announced a large-scale missile operation on key military targets in the occupation state of Israel, launching “the first wave” of strikes, according to a statement by the IRGC. According to Iranian state media, the operation involved dozens of ballistic missiles targeting strategic sites within the occupation state.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that this operation was authorized by the Supreme National Security Council and supported by the Iranian military. They emphasized that the strikes were a response to the recent assassinations of high-profile figures, including Ismail Haniyeh and Hassan Nasrallah.

“This operation is our legal right to defend ourselves,” the Revolutionary Guard said. Iran’s mission to the United Nations stated that “If Israel dares to retaliate or commits malicious acts, our response will be devastating.”

Over 250 Missiles Fired, Israeli Airspace Shut Down

Israel’s official radio reported that over 250 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel within a 30-minute span. Several of these missiles hit military and security sites, with one striking a building north of Tel Aviv. Israel’s foreign ministry urged settlers to seek shelter, while air raid sirens blared across multiple regions in the occupied land.

In response to the escalating situation, flights at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport were suspended, and Israeli airspace has been closed, with planes redirected to alternative airports outside the occupation state.

Threats of Further Action

Israeli military officials are reportedly assessing the situation and coordinating potential responses as the region braces for further escalation.

This operation follows a period of heightened tension aids Israeli attacks on several countries and assassination of politicians and leaders, with Iran stating it had exercised restraint before launching the missile strike in retaliation for the assassinations.
