IOF kill Palestinian young man after an exchange of fire in Gaza
Gaza (QNN) – A Palestinian fighter from Gaza Strip was shot dead in an armed clash with Israeli forces on the eastern borders of Khanyounis city before dawn on Thursday.
Israeli sources claim that the Palestinian young man Hani Abu Salah opened fire at Israeli soldiers, injuring three, before they fired numerous live rounds, killing him.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli army, Abu Salah came across the border and clashed with the soldiers. One Israeli officer sustained a moderate injury, and two other soldiers were slightly injured, and were transferred to the “Soroka” Hospital in Beer Sheva, the statement added.
The Israeli daily newspaper of “Yediot Ahronot” stated that the Israeli army declared a state of high alert in the aftermath of the fire exchange and targeted a resistance monitoring point near the border fence with a missile.
It is worth mentioning that Hani is the brother of Fadi Abu Salah, 20, who was killed by the Israeli army during the Great Return March protests on May 14, 2018. Fadi was a wheelchair user who lost both of his legs during the Israeli war on Gaza in 2008.
