IOF arrest Palestinian with epilepsy and family is concerned about his health
Mahfouz's father expressed concerns that the Israeli prison authorities may not give his son the medicines he needs, which will deteriorate his health condition.
Nablus (QNN) – The family of the Palestinian prisoner, Mahfouz Nassasra, calls on human rights and international organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation to release their son who suffers from epilepsy.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested Mahfouz last night when he was near the illegal Israeli settlement of Itamar in southeast of Nablus.
“An Israeli officer called me after midnight and informed me about arresting Mahfouz. The family don’t know anything about the arrest conditions,” said Nassasra’s father to QNN.
After the phone call, the father went to Hawara military camp to provide the occupation army with the medicines needed for Mahfouz’s health condition.
Mahfouz’s father expressed concerns that the Israeli prison authorities may not give his son the medicines he needs, which will deteriorate his health condition.
The family was not provided with any information about Mahfouz’s detention conditions except that the Israeli intelligence transferred him to “Petah Tikva” interrogation centre.
Mahfouz’s family has called on human rights bodies and the Red Cross to intervene and pressure the Israeli authorities to release Mahfouz.
