Injuries in Israeli repression of anti-settlement protest

Ramallah (QNN)- Several protesters have been reportedly wounded during the Israeli repression of a peaceful anti-settlement protest in the village of Beit Dajan in eastern Nablus today.

Local sources said large numbers of Israeli soldiers accompanied by a military bulldozer stormed the village and repressed the peaceful protest, which was heading towards land threatened of settlement.

Israeli forces fired sound and tear gas bombs during the repression of the protest, resulting in several wounds and suffocation cases. Israeli soldiers also attacked the protesters and beat them.

The sources added that Israeli forces, stationed at Beit Furik military checkpoint, prevented natives from reaching Beit Dajan.

Israeli settlers had previously set tents and structures in the village in preparation for grabbing it.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army had built settlement roads starting from the Jordan valley until the village in order to build a new settlement outpost on Palestinian land.
