Indonesia Denies Reports of Accepting Palestinians Expelled from Gaza

Jakarta (Quds News Network)- The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied reports of any discussions or agreements regarding the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza to Indonesia.
Ministry spokesperson Roy Sumirat clarified the government’s position in a press release. “The Indonesian government has not discussed with any party nor received information about a plan to transfer Gaza residents to Indonesia, as reported by several foreign media outlets,” he stated.
His comments were in response to Israeli media claims that about 100 Gaza residents would be sent to Indonesia for construction jobs under a pilot program for what the occupation state calls “voluntary migration”.
Sumirat stressed that Indonesia remains focused on diplomatic efforts. The government prioritizes securing a ceasefire, ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, and pushing for immediate reconstruction.
Israeli reports suggested the pilot program was part of a broader plan to facilitate the forced displacement of Palestinians. The Times of Israel reported that Major General Ghassan Alian, head of COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories), is leading the initiative.
Israeli media claimed that the alleged plan would be expanded to force thousands more Gazans to leave.
However, Indonesia firmly rejects claims of involvement in any such scheme. The government remains committed to supporting peace and stability in Gaza.
