Indigenous Jerusalemites win… Israeli police removes barriers from Bab Al Amoud area
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli Channel 12 reported on Sunday that the Israeli police decided to remove the barriers that it has placed in front of Bab Al Amoud, marking a victory for indigenous Jerusalemites.
The Israeli police have placed the barriers at the gate on the first day of Ramadan, preventing Palestinians from gathering in Bab Al Amoud area, which has been always busy during the nights of Ramadan, and preventing worshipers from visiting the holy mosque.
Israeli groups had called for lynch attacks against native Palestinians. Hundreds of Israelis took to the streets on Thursday under the protection of the Israeli police, carrying knives and sharp objects and chanting “death to Arabs”, to carry out attacks against Palestinians, causing confrontations between locals who were defending themselves, and settlers and policemen. Hundreds of Palestinians were wounded and arrested in the Israeli attacks.
