The Directorate of Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem said that Israeli policemen assaulted and brutally beat a group of worshipers near the Mercy gate. The worshipers included women and elderlies.

The directorate told QNN that the police called in special forces for support and arrested four young men and one lady before sending them for interrogation.

The Israeli right-wing leader, Yehudah Glick, accompanied by dozens of Jewish fanatics had stormed the holy mosque earlier today.

The Directorate of Islamic Waqf stated that the Israeli police arrested the guard of Al Aqsa mosque, Salman Abu Mayyaleh, after he prevented Glick from stealing soil from the holy mosque.

The settlers’ raids today took place as the Israelis are marking the “siege of the temple” as they believe.
