Ramallah (QNN) – Dozens of Israeli forces invaded the village of Kobar, northern central West Bank city of Ramallah, and razed a home owned by the Palestinian prisoner Assef Barghouthi.
According to local sources, many army jeeps surrounded the village before invading it accompanied by armored military bulldozers.
During the demolition process, Palestinian residents of the village clashed with the Israeli forces, using stones and Molotov cocktails, in a protesting attempt against the demolition of al-Barghouthi’s house.
Assef al-Barghouthi was kidnapped in December 2018 on an alleged charge of shooting three Israeli soldiers. In the same month, the Israeli forces assassinated his brother, Saleh, on the same alleged charge.
Later in January 2019, IOF arrested the father, Oamr al-Barghouthi (66), who spent 27 years of his life behind the Israeli prison bars. The mother, Suhair al-Barghouthi, was also arrested by IOF in February 2019; she was released one month later.
