Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- The former prisoner Salah Hussein from Beit Diqqo in occupied Jerusalem has been released on Sunday to meet his wife and son for the first time in 15 years. However, the Israeli army rearrested him at the Container checkpoint to disturb the small family.
After spending 15 years in Israeli jails, Hussein has hugged his 5-year-old son, Ali, for the first time since he was born. Ali was born to Hussein and his wife through smuggled sperm, as Hussein is the first Palestinian prisoner to get married and have a child while in jail.
A video trended on social media, showing the first moments of the reunion. Hussein’s wife appears telling her son: “this is papa.. we’ve waited a lot… here is our sweet papa”.
However, the Israeli army insisted on ruining the day of the small family when it held Hussein at the Container checkpoint for a few hours before releasing him again.
Hussein was supposed to be released from Israeli jails last Thursday but the Israelis rearrested him the moment he was released.
