Amman (QNN)- The Jordanian authorities on Saturday prevented Israelis from reaching Baqoura and Ghumar for the first time in 25 years.

Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Israeli army also closed the gate to the agricultural land in Baqoura, which the Israelis call the “Isle of Peace” and which has been rented from Jordan for 25 years.

The Jordanian step, closing the area to Israelis, comes after a decision to terminate the lease of Baqoura and Ghumar Jordanian areas as of Sunday.
