In two weeks, ‘Israel’ killed 5 Palestinians, says OCHA

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Between 24 August and 6 September, the Israeli occupation forces killed 5 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, raising the overall number of Palestinians killed by ‘Israel’ since the start of 2021 to 320.

In its biweekly Protection of Civilians report (between 24 August and 6 September), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territory said that in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed 2 Palestinians, including a child, while in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces killed 3 Palestinians, including a child.

On 24 August, during a night raid in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, Israeli forces shot and killed a 15-year-old boy, identified as Imad Hashhash.

On 1 September, a 39-year-old Palestinian man, identified as Ra’ed Jadallah, was shot dead by Israeli forces at the western entrance of the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, while he was coming home from his work to his family.

57 Palestinians, including 12 children, have been killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank since the start of 2021, all by live ammunition, said OCHA.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces killed 3 Palestinians; two of them died of wounds that were sustained before the reporting period, OCHA said, as the Israeli forces shot live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and tear gas canisters against the Palestinian protesters participating in the peaceful protests on Gaza borders with the 1948-occupied territories last month.

263 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the besieged Gaza Strip since the start of 2021, said OCHA.
