Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The leader in the Islamic Jihad movement, Muhammad Shalah, said that the resistance will avenge should any of the hunger-striking detainees die due to the Israeli continuous obstinacy.
Shalah said, “the resistance will burn the ground under the feet of the occupiers should any detainees in Israeli prisons die.”
He added that “the resistance will defend detainees by all available means, and all options are open.”
“The resistance will intervene to protect detainees and the occupation knows that the resistance will never ignore its [Israel’s] crimes. The fight has not ended yet”, Shalah added.
Eight administrative detainees have been on hunger strike for periods ranging between 20 and 110 days. Doctors warned that some of them may die anytime soon, especially as the Israeli authorities continue to ignore their issue.
The detainees started their hunger strike in protest against their administrative detention without charges or trials. Israeli authorities hold 567 administrative detainees in prisons, in violation of international law and basic human rights.
