ICRC President on Israeli aggression on Gaza: This is a moral failure

Geneva (QNN) – The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has criticized the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, labeling it a “moral failure” on the part of the international community.

Speaking at a press briefing in Geneva, Mirjana Spoljaric urged the Israeli occupation authorities and the Palestinian resistance to engage in new negotiations to bring an end to the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign and to reach a prisoner swap deal.

Spoljaric emphasized the need for a lasting resolution, stating, “There’s nothing without an agreement by the two sides, so we urge them to keep negotiating.”

The ICRC president said the the organization was ready to assist again in a prisoner swap between the resistance and the Israeli occupation.

“We continue to talk to all sides to then be ready to operationalise the agreement that they reach.”
