Watchdog: Children in Damon prison detained in poor conditions

Ramallah (QNN)- 20 Palestinian children in the Israeli jail of Damon have been detained in very poor conditions, stated The Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners Affairs.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the committee explained that children in section (1) of the Damon jail are detained in inhumane conditions. The children are detained in cells that lack ventilation and sunlight and are infested with insects and rats. The bathrooms are doorless and they lack warm water.

The statement added that the courtyard of the jail is very small, which increases the danger of spreading coronavirus, especially that the jailers’ room is also in the same courtyard.
