Houthis Warn US Against Supporting Israeli War on Iran
Sana’a (Quds News Network)- Yemen’s armed forces have warned the United States against joining Israel’s offensive against Iran.
Military spokesperson Yahya Saree said on Saturday that any US support for Israeli aggression on Iran would lead to a response targeting American ships in the Red Sea.
“If the US supports Israel in attacking Iran, our armed forces will respond by targeting its ships and warships in the Red Sea,” Saree stated.
He stated that Israel was launching attacks on Yemen, Lebanon, and Syria, and committing genocide against Palestinians. Saree said Israel is now pushing for a broader war on Iran under the slogan of “reshaping the Middle East.”
He described the US-Israel alliance as a threat to regional freedom and independence. “Any American involvement to help Israel dominate the region will be seen as an attack on our identity, sovereignty, and resources,” he warned.
Saree emphasized that the confrontation with Israel over its aggression on Iran concerns the entire region. “This is the Ummah’s battle,” he said, pledging support to any Arab or Muslim nation under Israeli attack or resisting occupation.
He reaffirmed Ansar Allah’s solidarity with Gaza. “We will not abandon Gaza or allow the US-Israeli plans to pass in our region,” he said.
Saree added that his country continues to monitor hostile movements in the region and will take necessary actions to defend Yemen and its people.
Meanwhile, Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, said that “any country or party that joins Israel’s war must bear the consequences of its decision.”
He stressed that Yemen will use all legitimate means to respond to any involvement in the war on Iran, calling it a moral, religious, and humanitarian duty supported by international law.
On Thursday, Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi described Israel’s war on Iran as a serious escalation. He called on Arab and Muslim countries to treat Israel as the main enemy and prepare accordingly.
