Horrific witness accounts coming from north Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Horrific witness accounts are coming from journalists and residents in northern Gaza where the Israeli military has been implementing the “Generals’ Plan” over the past 19 days.

Civilians have been witnessing brutality in one of the deadliest ethnic cleansing campaigns ever witnessed in the 20th century.

Witnesses reported horrific details of what is happening in Jabalia and Beit Lahiya where Israeli forces are demolishing and burning civilian houses to the ground.

Journalist Anas Al-Sharif wrote on X, “They [Israeli occupation] burned the shelters in northern Gaza so that no one would return to them.”

In another post, he said people in northern Gaza are witnessing the “horrors of the Day of Judgment” referring to Israel’s presence and actions in the area.

Hossam Shabat, a journalist in northern Gaza, said, “Israeli occupation forces burned schools to make sure no displaced people return; they are killing any form of life in northern Gaza.”

In Beit Lahiya – now turned into one of the most densely populated areas in Gaza after Palestinians fled there from Jabalia – the situation is dust and smoke coming from every corner with the smell of death everywhere.

The Israeli army has reportedly dug large holes where it placed men, gathering and abusing them before arresting them. Others reported the Israeli military has placed about 130 women in a large hole in the Sheikh Zayed area. No further details have been revealed, yet.

A survivor from Jabalia Camp also narrated a harrowing scene in which the “Israeli soldiers separated children from their mothers, placing them in a large cavity while tanks rumbled nearby. Amid the chaos of screams and desperation, soldiers tossed the children back, forcing mothers to catch them and flee quickly.”

“Many mothers found themselves cradling children who were not their own, compelled to leave their little ones in the arms of other moms. Then the mothers entered a new chapter of anguish as they started to desperately look for their own children, trying to calm the children in their hands.”

Palestinian men are expected to be driven to sites where they will be investigated while women will be allowed to go to Gaza City. Residents fleeing Beit Lahiya on foot have described Israeli soldiers forcing men to strip to their underwear and bodies left lying in the streets.

Videos show children walking through destruction and looking for a safe place to go, but even in Gaza City there are active operations.

Activist Rozan al-Borsh recounted a horrific incident carried out by the Israeli army against a displaced family from northern Gaza: “I met a woman who was displaced from Jabalia to Beit Lahiya. Her situation was heart-wrenching. She has two young daughters, and the soldiers made her choose between having the girls killed or her husband. She chose to save the girls. The soldiers abducted her husband and beat him before her. Now she has no idea what happened to him!”

Ramu Abdu, chairman of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, also reported that a 10-year-old child was run over and brutally dismembered by an Israeli tank while he was still alive in north Gaza.
