Hollywood stars wear red pin in support of Gaza ceasefire at 2024 Emmys

Los Angeles (Quds News Network)- Several Hollywood stars wore Gaza ceasefire pins at the 2024 Emmys on Sunday, advocating for an end to Israel’s ongoing genocide war on Gaza.
Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), Devery Jacobs (Reservation Dogs), Brittani Nichols (Abbott Elementary writer) and Caroline Joyner were among those seen on the red carpet wearing a pin that featured a red background, orange hand and black heart.

The pin symbolizes support for a permanent ceasefire, release of all captives and immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli war, according to Artists4Ceasefire.
Coughlan has previously been open about her support for Palestine, writing on social media in May, “You might have seen me wear a red pin on the red carpet and press events during the last while and I thought it would be a good time to share some information about Artists for Ceasefire and what we stand for.”
Since the start of the deadly Israeli aggression on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, hundreds of Hollywood celebrities have called for a ceasefire, even signing a letter written to President Joe Biden by Artists4Ceasefire.
On Sunday, the arrivals of some Emmys attendees were also delayed due to a group of pro-Palestinian protesters chanting and waving flags outside the Los Angeles venue, according the Hollywood Reporter.
“No justifying the murder of children,” one sign held by a demonstrator read. Similar protests caused the Oscars telecast to start a few minutes late earlier this year.
