Hind Rajab Foundation Files ICC Complaint Against Israeli General Yehuda Vach
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC), demanding the immediate arrest of Israeli Brigadier General Yehuda Vach. The foundation accuses Vach, commander of the IDF’s 252nd Division, of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
According to the complaint, Vach oversaw systematic killings of Palestinian civilians, including the execution of 15-year-old Yahya Akram Al-Hilu and 16-year-old Muhammad Amer Salouha on September 21, 2024, in Al-Nuseirat. The two teenagers, searching for food, were gunned down by Israeli soldiers. Muhammad was shot seven times and left to bleed to death, while Yahya, who tried to help him, was killed by a shell. The HRF’s lawyer, Haroon Raza, is representing their families.
Testimonies from former Israeli soldiers support the accusations. A Haaretz investigation revealed that Vach’s troops were ordered to fire indiscriminately in the Netzarim Corridor. One soldier recounted how his unit shot a Palestinian boy multiple times and then celebrated the killing. When a soldier questioned the act, the commander dismissed him, insisting that “anyone crossing the line is a terrorist.”
Hind Rajab Foundation describes the Netzarim Corridor as a kill zone where civilians were systematically targeted. Witnesses reported that unarmed people, including those waving white flags, were shot on sight. The complaint cites multiple investigative reports confirming that Vach instructed his forces to “flatten Gaza,” prevent aid deliveries, and seize as much land as possible.
HRF called on the ICC, Interpol, and governments worldwide to take immediate action against Vach. The foundation vowed to continue gathering evidence to hold him accountable. “Justice for Yahya, Muhammad, and all Palestinian victims is non-negotiable,” HRF said in a statement.
The number of amputees in Gaza Strip, already between 5,000 and 6,000, is expected to rise as Israel continues to restrict the entry of much-needed aid, including medical supplies, into the war-torn enclave, a humanitarian organization has warned. The alert comes after two years of genocide and despite the so-called US-backed ceasefire.
