Hind Rajab Foundation Dropped from Pro-Palestine Conference in Denmark Amid Israeli Pressure

Copenhagen (Quds News Network)- The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) announced the cancellation of its participation in the European Palestinian Network Conference, held in Denmark. Haroon Raza, representing HRF, was set to speak on a panel, but organizers canceled his participation moments before the session.

According to HRF, the cancellation followed false claims in Israeli media linking the organization to resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine. These allegations reportedly caused some attendees to refuse to share the panel with HRF, leading organizers to withdraw the invitation.

In a statement, HRF expressed deep regret over the decision. The organization emphasized its complete independence and legal recognition under Belgian law. HRF reaffirmed that its mission is solely to pursue justice and accountability for victims of ongoing genocide, distancing itself from any political or military affiliations.

HRF also clarified that its officials and volunteers are entitled to personal opinions, which do not reflect the organization’s independent work. The foundation stated it rarely attends conferences or public events, focusing instead on its core mission. It acknowledged that attending this conference was a mistake and confirmed it will decline similar invitations in the future.

The Hind Rajab Foundation, based in Brussels, has gained international recognition for its legal efforts to hold Israeli soldiers and officers accountable for war crimes. Founded in February 2024, HRF honors the memory of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl brutally killed alongside her family in an Israeli attack on their car in Gaza. Israeli soldiers targeted Hind’s family and even the medical personnel attempting to save her, ultimately taking her life in a harrowing sequence of attacks amid her appeals for help.

The organization seeks justice for victims and survivors of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The foundation has filed numerous legal complaints worldwide against Israeli military personnel. Israeli media recently reported an increase in international lawsuits targeting Israeli soldiers since the escalation in Gaza. While investigations have been launched in several countries, no arrests have been made to date.
