Hezbollah dismisses Israeli claims of tunnel footage as outdated propaganda”
Beirut (Quds News Network)- Hezbollah has revealed that Israeli military claims about recently uncovered tunnels near the Lebanese-Israeli border are lies, labeling the footage and images released by Israel as “outdated propaganda.”
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Hezbollah’s media relations division confirmed that the photos and videos shared by the Israeli forces are from a much earlier period and have no connection to current military activities. The group stated that Israel is engaging in psychological warfare to mislead the public and stir fear as tensions between the two sides escalate.
“This footage is extremely old and has no relation to any present-day military actions along the Lebanese border,” the statement emphasized, dismissing Israeli claims that its soldiers had uncovered recent Hezbollah tunnel networks.
The Israeli army had claimed its troops have entered Hezbollah tunnels dug near the border with Israel.
Israel has ramped up small-scale incursions into southern Lebanon, with reports indicating that these missions are aimed at gathering intelligence on Hezbollah’s capabilities ahead of a potential ground offensive. However, Hezbollah continues to challenge the narrative put forth by Israel, insisting that such claims are part of an ongoing disinformation campaign.
