Hezbollah Confirms Death of Senior Leader Hashem Safieddine in Israeli Attack

Beirut (Quds News Network)- Hezbollah announced on Wednesday the death of its Executive Council chief, Hashem Safieddine, in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut. In an official statement, the group said that the great leader dedicated his life to the cause of the resistance, calling his martyrdom a significant loss on the path toward Jerusalem.

According to the statement, Safieddine was killed along with several fellow fighters in an Israeli strike that targeted them. Hezbollah lauded Safieddine’s role within the organization, noting his leadership of the Executive Council and his close ties with Hezbollah’s fighters and the families of its martyrs.

Safieddine was referred to as a trusted and steadfast brother to Hezbollah’s late Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. Safieddine, who had been involved with Hezbollah’s top leadership for many years, was praised for his contributions to the group’s operations and his unwavering commitment to the resistance movement.

The Israeli military had previously claimed responsibility for targeting Safieddine during a series of airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs three weeks ago. Hezbollah’s confirmation of his death comes amid heightened tensions and ongoing military confrontations, particularly in southern Lebanon.
