Hezbollah confirms death of leader Hassan Nasrallah, vows to continue resistance

Beirut (Quds News Network)- Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, following an Israeli attack on the southern suburb of Beirut. In an official statement released today, the organization honored Nasrallah as a brave, wise, and courageous martyr, recognizing his lifelong dedication to the resistance movement.
The statement commemorated Nasrallah’s leadership over the past three decades, highlighting his role in Hezbollah’s victories, from the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 to the 2006 war with Israel, and his unwavering support for Palestine and Gaza. “He led the resistance from victory to victory, carrying on the legacy of Sayyid Abbas al-Musawi, until achieving the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and the decisive divine victory in 2006,” the statement read. It also emphasized his commitment to defending the Palestinian cause and supporting Gaza and its people.
Hezbollah extended sympathy to Nasrallah’s family and the entire resistance movement. “We congratulate him for receiving the highest divine honors, the Medal of Imam Hussein (PBUH), and for achieving his ultimate wish, to become a martyr on the path to Jerusalem and Palestine,” the statement said.
Hezbollah also paid tribute to the other resistance leaders who were killed alongside Nasrallah in the Israeli airstrike. The organization vowed to continue its resistance against Israel, pledging its full support to Gaza and the Palestinian cause, as well as the defense of Lebanon and its people. “We renew our commitment to continue the fight against the enemy, to support Gaza and Palestine, and to defend Lebanon and its resilient and honorable people,” Hezbollah declared.
In a message to Hezbollah’s fighters, the group reaffirmed its dedication to Nasrallah’s vision, stating, “Our leader remains with us in spirit, thought, and guidance. You, his brothers, are his protective shield, the crown of sacrifice and valor. We are committed to the path of resistance and sacrifice until victory.”
