“He was found by accident”: Israel’s army claims to have rescued prisoner from Gaza
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli defense minister announced retrieving prisoner Qaid Farhan Al-Qadi from Gaza, describing the incident as a “bold and determinate operation”. Al-Qadi, a 52-year-old member of a Bedouin community near Rahat, was imprisoned on October 7 while working as a guard at a packing factory in Kibbutz Magen.
According to Israeli military statements, Al-Qadi was found alive in a tunnel in southern Gaza and was immediately transferred to Soroka Medical Center for further medical examinations. The Israeli army stated, “Our forces saved the hostage alive from a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip. We cannot disclose further details about the rescue operation.” However, reports from Channel 14 revealed that the discovery of Al-Qadi was accidental, and he was found without any guards nearby, raising questions about the statement of the Israeli army.
The resistance released 105 Israeli prisoners during a weeklong truce in late November, and four prisoners were released before that for humanitarian causes. The Israeli army could reach only eight prisoners alive. The bodies of 30 prisoners were also recovered after the Israeli army killed them.
