Has Israel Started Implementing the Generals’ Starvation and Extermination Plan in Gaza?
Gaza (Quds News Network)- In recent days, speculation has grown over whether the Israeli military has begun to implement the notorious “Generals’ Plan” a plan of starvation and extermination aimed at Gaza, as proposed by retired Israeli Major General Giora Eiland. This plan involves tightening the siege on northern Gaza, starving out hundreds of thousands of people, and forcibly evacuating the entire native Palestinian population from the area as part of a broader effort to “cleanse” the strip of opposition.
The Israeli army announced this morning the expansion of the ‘humanitarian zone’ in Al-Mawasi, coupled with updates on ‘evacuation’ routes from northern Gaza. Two main expulsion corridors, via Salah al-Din Road and al-Rashid Street, have been opened to push natives southward under brutal airstrikes and fire belts.
The Generals’ Plan: A Plan of Genocide
Reports indicate that the Israeli government has possibly adopted Eiland’s plan, which calls for cutting off humanitarian aid to northern Gaza to empty the area. The Israeli army has announced that ground operations have already begun in parts of northern Gaza, targeting what it described as ‘key Hamas infrastructure’ in tandem with intense aerial bombardments.
Israeli spokespersons, including the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, have ordered Palestinians in northern Gaza to evacuate. Adraee also released new evacuation maps, claiming that northern Gaza remains a ‘high-risk warzone’. These warnings came as the humanitarian situation for those remaining in Gaza City and its surrounding areas has been rapidly deteriorating.
Growing Speculation and International Concerns
The expansion of evacuation routes and the establishment of humanitarian zones come amid increasing international concern that Israel may be implementing the Generals’ Plan under the guise of humanitarian efforts.
Israeli journalist Almog Boker initially tweeted that the Israeli army had begun evacuating northern Gaza as part of “the Generals’ Plan,” but later deleted the post, fueling further speculation about the operation’s true intentions. Before deleting his tweet, Boker wrote, “The ground incursion in northern Gaza is part of the plan initiated by General Giora Eiland. According to the plan, the population will be evacuated, and a siege imposed, leaving militants with only two choices: surrender or die.”
After deleting the post, he posted that “The ground entry into the northern Gaza Strip: this is a raid designed to fight terrorist targets and dismantle what remains there and what Hamas is trying to rebuild.”
“As part of the activity, residents of the northern Gaza Strip are asked to evacuate to the south. At this stage, a decision has not yet been made by the political echelon regarding the humanitarian aid being transferred to the northern Gaza Strip.
In the last few weeks, and even before the ground entry, the political echelon considered adopting the generals’ plan initiated by reserve general Giora Island, according to which the IDF will evacuate the population north of Netzer and impose a siege, which will leave the terrorists with only one choice – to surrender or die. We will wait”, he added.
Military analyst Itsik Zuarets also reported on the recent Israeli incursion into northern Gaza, stating, “The 162nd Division entered Jabalia overnight and began operations to destroy the renewed Hamas infrastructure there. In the coming days, all of northern Gaza will be cleared, with the entire population evacuated beyond the Nitzanim axis, and the region will be declared a closed military zone according to the Generals’ Plan.”
Israeli politicians like Likud Member of Knesset Avichai Boaron have voiced support and excitement for the start of the evacuation of northern Gaza, viewing it as a ‘necessary first step in dismantling Hamas’. “This is the first stage of the Generals’ Plan, and it’s a good thing,” Boaron remarked. “The second and final step – withdrawing humanitarian aid from Hamas. This is what will cause it to break”, he added.
Meanwhile, Palestinians fear that the world’s attention may be diverted by Israel’s escalating conflict with Lebanon and tensions with Iran, providing Israel with an opportunity to advance its objectives in Gaza with less scrutiny.
