Hamas Source to Quds News: Israel spreads lies and retreats from Biden’s July 2 proposal
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Sources from Hamas have unveiled details of the recent talks held in Doha, Qatar, which took place over two days without the participation of Hamas.
A senior Hamas official, speaking to Quds News Network, dismissed the Israeli leaks as misleading and false, stating that they do not reflect the reality on the ground.
The official, who requested anonymity, emphasized that Hamas remains committed to the proposal put forward on July 2, 2024, which has yet to be implemented due to Israeli stalling. He stressed that the latest offers conveyed by intermediaries fail to meet the minimum requirements previously proposed.
He clarified that Hamas did not participate in the Doha negotiations; instead, the new proposal was relayed to them through intermediaries. The official reiterated Hamas’s firm stance on the implementation of the July 2 proposal, stressing that it should be enacted according to agreed-upon mechanisms.
