Hamas says Israel commits massacres to exert pressure in negotiations, Israel’s army confirms

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Hamas leader, Osama Hamdan said that the Israeli army has increased the pace of massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza to exert pressure in the negotiations.

Hamdan said in an interview on Al-Arabi TV that Israel aims to disrupt the negotiation process and pressure it to fail by committing more massacres.

“It is as if they are sending a message that the situation is not yet ripe for a ceasefire”, he stated.

“This also reflects the Israeli failure to achieve the primary objectives they announced as the goal of their military operation. We are making every possible effort to reach an agreement, and the movement’s negotiating team and leadership are working around the clock to achieve this. We are determined to reach an agreement, no matter how obstructive the enemy may be”, he added.

Partially confirming Hamas’ statement, the Israeli army’s said it is Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said Sunday that the Israeli army “is creating all the pressure required to create the best conditions for such an agreement, and this is how we have acted since the end of the previous agreement.”

On Saturday, Netanyahu claimed that there was no progress toward a prisoner exchange deal because “the military pressure was not strong enough.”

Yesterday, Israel bombarded an UNRWA school, murdering at least 17 displaced civilians. The attack came only one day after a bloodbath in a displacement camp in Al-Mawasi and Al-Shate’ refuge camp, murdering at least 100 civilians. Over five heavy bombs were dropped on tents of displaced families in Al-Mawasi, causing many victims’ bodies to be torn to pieces.
