Hamas: Saudi Arabia’s allowing Israeli plane passage sets table for normalization

"Although European colonizers left the region, their colonization has not ended as they left behind dependent regimes."

Ramallah (QNN)- Hamas leader Hassan Yousef said Monday that Saudi Arabia’s allowing the Israeli plane to pass through its airspace was a prelude to normalization.

He also said in a special statement to Quds News Network that “although European colonizers left the region, their colonization has not ended as they left behind dependent regimes.”

“The ongoing Race to normalization and opening airspace for Israeli flights is a stab in the Palestinians’ back”, he added.

“We hope that there will be no further normalization efforts but the reality is that some statements are a prelude to normalization”, Yousef said, noting that it is clear that other countries will follow suit.

Yousef added that the visit is a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and a change in the Arab position that has been for decades rejecting normalization.

“The [European] colonization has left the region only in a perfunctory manner, leaving behind followers, who implement its policies that are connected to the interests of countries like the US, France, the UK, and other countries”, he said.
