Hamas reveals new sources of its weapons
Sunken British ships, settlements' pipelines, and unexploded Israeli bombs have been recycled by the resistance movement into missiles.

Gaza (QNN)- A new investigative documentary by Al Jazeera revealed that the Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has adopted brand new and unconventional methods to build up its military arsenal amidst the strict Israeli siege.
The documentary ‘What’s Hidden is Greater’, which was broadcasted on the Arabic channel, showed parts of the great efforts made by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, to develop its military capabilities amidst Israeli-Arabic efforts to prevent the arrival of arms supplies to the besieged strip.
It revealed that the Palestinian resistance developed missiles with high destructive capabilities, using unexploded bombs that have been previously fired by the occupation state at Gaza.
Speaking to the documentary, members of the engineering and manufacturing unit at the Al-Qassam Brigades said that they have been collecting unexploded bombs from different locations throughout the strip in order to recycle them inside the movement’s workshops.
Another source of Hamas’ missiles, according to the documentary, was two British warships that have been sunken off the shores of Gaza during the First World War. Large quantities of ammunition have been found in the two sunken warships, providing resistance with more material to use.
“We examined the British shells that we found in the depths of the sea and decided to recycle them to make our own ammunition. We conducted an experiment on a 40 cm-thick reinforced concrete roof, and the result was the complete destruction of the target”, an engineer, who was referred to as Abu Salman, explained.
The documentary also revealed that Al Qassam Brigades used old water pipelines that have been previously used to steal Gaza’s groundwater and pump it to illegal settlements, turning them to missiles as well.
Al Qassam revealed that it fired 78 recycled missiles at occupied Asqalan during the escalation in May 2019.
The documentary also revealed that the UAE and Egypt have been helping the occupation state blockade the besieged Gaza Strip through the Bernice military base.
Meanwhile, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas’ political bureau, revealed in the programme details of an offer made by US President Donald Trump’s advisor and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
“We refused an offer from Kushner’s office mediated by other parties to hold meetings for the sake of dialogue with the Zionist enemy,” he said.
“We decided to refuse any dialogue that would guarantee a Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip under the implementation the deal of the century,” Haniyeh added.
Hanieyeh stressed that despite efforts to disarm Hamas, the occupation state has ultimately failed.
“Israel has failed to disarm the resistance in its siege, despite all its normalisation, putting the movement on the terrorist list and demonising it. There is now more evidence that the resistance is in a state of expansion and rise,” he told the documentary.
“We are not looking for a war in the Gaza Strip, but we do not fear it, and if the occupation thinks about launching a new aggression against Gaza, the battle will be different, and the factions, especially the Qassam, are in its package, which will surprise the enemy,” he added.
