Hamas: Israel abducts children and burns homes to displace the Palestinians

Beirut (Quds News Network) – Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official, said last night that the abduction of Palestinian children in Gaza is among the recent crimes committed by the Israeli occupation throughout the course of its ongoing genocide campaign on the enclave.

Speaking at a press conference held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, Hamdan stated that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip has reached 22,920 Palestinians, with 321 martyrs in the West Bank since October 7 of last year.

He highlighted that 4% of Gaza’s population is either a martyr, injured, or missing, and over 1.9 million Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced from their homes.

“The Israeli Nazi occupation has destroyed 70% of civilian structures in Gaza to displace our people,” Hamdan declared.

He pointed out that more than 200 historical and heritage sites out of 325 registered in Gaza have been destroyed by Israel.

Hamdan also mentioned that the Israeli occupation forces were burning homes of innocent civilians in Gaza, as seen in the recent massacre of the Abu Alba family in the south of the territory.

Emphasizing the resilience of the Palestinian resistance, Hamdan noted, “The rockets continue to launch every day, and we will avenge our people, aiming for the liberation of Jerusalem and the removal of this enemy.”

Regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s intentions, Hamdan stated, “Netanyahu wants to continue the war only for his own survival,” rejecting any notion of a civilian administration under the Israeli occupation managing Gaza successfully.

He praised South Africa’s stance and the lawsuit in the International Court of Justice against the Israeli occupation, calling on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the African Union to support and endorse South Africa’s position.

Hamdan reiterated that the continued arming of the Zionist entity by the U.S. confirms its complicity in the aggression. He stressed that regional security and stability begin with ending the Zionist aggression on Palestinian land and recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people.
