Hamas Hands Over Shiri Bibas’ Body to the Red Cross

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Hamas’ military wing, Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, has handed over the body of Israeli prisoner Shiri Bibas to the International Red Cross, confirmed Hamas leader,
Mahmoud Mardawi in an interview with Al Arabi TV.
The Israeli army’s radio reported an unnamed official stating that Hamas called the Red Cross without providing any details on the reason. The Red Cross later confirmed to Israeli authorities that they had received a body believed to be that of Shiri Bibas.
A spokesperson for the Israeli army had claimed that the Bibas family, which was killed by an Israeli strike on Gaza, was killed by Hamas. He did not provide any evidence supporting the claim. These accusations have been rejected by Hamas, who called them false and part of a series of lies spread by Israeli officials over the past 15 months.
Hamas described the accusations as a desperate attempt to shift blame for the mass killings and destruction caused by Israel’s military actions. They pointed out to the massive scale of civilian casualties and the destruction of entire neighborhoods. Hamas also pointed to the obstruction of a ceasefire agreement by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as a contributing factor to the deaths of the Bibas family as well as other Israeli prisoners.
Hamas criticized the Israeli government for spreading misinformation and attempting to distract the global community from Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. They condemned the ongoing massacre and human rights violations, including the killing of civilians and the targeting of Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Bibas family has expressed their deep pain, stating that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has not apologized for the loss of their loved ones. They declared that they would never forgive the abandonment of their family on October 7 or during their captivity. The family stressed that Israel’s responsibility was to return the Bibas family members alive.
