Hamas Congratulates Syrians on Achieving Freedom, Urges Unity
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Hamas released a statement on Sunday congratulating the Syrian people on their success in achieving their aspirations for freedom and justice. This follows the dramatic fall of the Assad regime, with rebel forces taking control of Damascus and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fleeing to Russia.
Hamas called on all Syrians to unite, strengthen national cohesion, and rise above past hardships. The movement affirmed its support for Syria’s territorial integrity, independence, and the will of its people.
"The Syrian people, with their unity and spirit of tolerance, are capable of overcoming challenges and achieving stability, security, and prosperity," Hamas stated. The group also praised Syria’s historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause and expressed hope that Syria would lead in the Arab and Islamic world.
Hamas condemned repeated Israeli aggression against Syrian lands, describing it as "brutal." The group rejected any Zionist plans targeting Syria’s territory or people.
The statement concluded with prayers for the safety of Syria and Palestine. Hamas reaffirmed its solidarity with the Syrian people during this critical time in their history.
