Haaretz: Israel holds 1500 dead bodies in Sde Timan
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed, citing an informed source, that the Israeli occupation state is holding around 1,500 unidentified Palestinian bodies in Sde Timan detention camp.
The newspaper added that the bodies are stored in refrigerated containers at the military base known as Sdeh Timan and are identified by numbers rather than names.
It reported that the bodies are in poor condition, with some missing limbs and others unrecognizable, suggesting they died in the early days of the war.
Yesterday, lawyers and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission exposed horrific violations committed by Israeli soldiers against prisoners at the Sdeh Timan camp.
Among these violations, one detainee pleaded for medical treatment but later died under torture. There were also incidents of rape, including one detainee who was completely stripped and had a fire extinguisher tube inserted into his rectum with substances sprayed inside, and another detainee who was stripped and electrocuted in the rectum and genitals. Other forms of sexual assault were also reported by the lawyers.
At Sdeh Timan, detainees are also placed on the ground with their hands tied behind their heads while dogs attack them. Additionally, detainees are subjected to hanging positions accompanied by beatings with police dogs.
