Growing anti-U.S. sentiment in Arab world linked to U.S. support for Israel, leaders warn Blinken

Jerusalem (Quds News Network) – In the midst of the ongoing U.S.-backed Israeli genocide campaign in the Gaza Strip, Arab leaders have warned U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken of growing public resentment in the Arab world towards the United States, holding it responsible for enabling Israel’s bloodshed of the Palestinian people.
NBC News said it was informed by multiple senior administration officials, diplomatic sources, and congressional officials that these concerns were raised during Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s diplomatic tour of the Middle East this week.
Leaders from the Middle East conveyed a similar message to a Senate delegation currently visiting the region, highlighting a surge in anti-U.S. sentiment fueled by the devastating images emerging from Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The discussions emphasized the widespread anger among the Arab public, attributing blame to both Israel and the United States for the civilian death toll in Gaza.
While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suggested an extended period of war, a senior administration official traveling with Blinken informed the American broadcaster that the U.S. anticipates the fighting to conclude within a matter of weeks.
During his meetings in Israeli-occupied Palestine this week, Blinken is expected to convey the urgent need for Israel to wind down its military campaign promptly, according the same source.
Of note, the relentless Israeli war on Gaza has resulted in over 23,000 confirmed fatalities so far, with 70% of the victims being women and children. Plus, over 57,000 people have been wounded with varying degrees of severity, while another 7,000 people remain unaccounted for, with the majority of them feared dead.
