Grieving crowd takes part in funeral of 8 Palestinian workers killed in van-truck crash in Jericho

Jericho (QNN)- Hundreds of grieving Palestinian mourners participated on Friday in the funeral procession of the eight Palestinian young workers who were killed on Thursday when the van driving the workers collided head-on with a truck in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho.

On Thursday, eight Palestinian workers, aged between 14 and 17, were killed in a van-truck crash, near the Palestinian village of Fasa’il, north of Jericho.
Two other passengers of the van were wounded and taken to the hospital to get urgent medical treatment, with one of them in critical condition.
The driver of the truck that collided into the van was arrested by the Palestinian police, according to the reports.
The eight workers who passed away in the horrific accident are schoolchildren under the age of 17, from Aqraba village, in the Nablus city. They had been working on their holidays for a living as their families live in poverty.
