Grandson of Mandela: We will sue Israel in other international courts

Doha (Quds News Network) – Zwelivelile Mandela, the grandson of the late South African leader Nelson Mandela, has stated that his country’s legal team will pursue the genocide case filed against Israel before the International Court of Justice.
However, he explained in an interview with Al Jazeera that they are awaiting the report Israel is expected to submit within a month to explore available options. He stated, “We will explore other avenues,” such as the International Criminal Court, the Security Council, and the United Nations General Assembly.
Mandela’s grandson, donning a Palestinian keffiyeh, asserted that the “war on Gaza is a clear example of Western imperialism and its hypocrisy,” highlighting the lack of sanctions against the apartheid state of Israel and the absence of arrest warrants for its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the other “war criminal ministers.”
He also emphasized the strong historical connection between his grandfather Mandela and the Palestinian cause, documenting ties with the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. He stated, “Our freedom is not complete without the freedom of the Palestinian people.”
Zwelivelile, a member of the National Congress Party in the South African parliament, advised the Palestinian resistance to “unite, speak with one voice, coordinate efforts to defend their lands of birth and their ancestors’ lands, resist occupation, aggression, and colonial settlement.”
