GMO: Israel Used 2000-Pound Bombs to Bomb Al-Tabeen School

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces targeted the Al-Tabeen School in Gaza, using 2000-pound bombs that killed over 100 civilians, including women and children, turning most of them into pieces, according to the Government Media Office.

The school, which was sheltering more than 6,000 displaced people, was struck during dawn prayers in what has been described as one of the deadliest assaults in recent memory.

Ismail Al-Thawabta, Director-General of the Government Media Office in Gaza, condemned the attack, stating that the Israeli military deliberately targeted displaced civilians. The massacre, which left rescue teams overwhelmed by the scale of the destruction, is seen as part of a broader campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

The Government Media Office and Civil Defense teams in Gaza called for immediate international intervention to stop these ongoing war crimes, emphasizing the need for global action to protect civilians in Gaza.

Yesterday, the US government approved the release of $3.5 billion in military aid to Israel, allowing the occupation state to procure advanced weapons systems and equipment from American manufacturers. The funding, part of a larger $14.1 billion supplemental package passed by Congress in April, came even as Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and starting a regional war.

Last month, the Biden administration lifted the suspension on a shipment of 500-pound bombs to Israel, ending a two-month pause that meant to “reduce civilian casualties in Gaza”, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
