Global Strike Planned for April 7 to End Gaza Genocide

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Activists across the world are calling for a global strike on Monday, April 7, to end the genocide in Gaza. The call follows six months of relentless Israeli attacks that violated a short ceasefire and have killed over 50,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023.

The Follow-Up Committee of National and Islamic Forces in Gaza issued a statement urging people worldwide to organize powerful and sustained actions. The committee demanded pressure on Israel and its backers, especially the United States, to stop the ongoing genocide.

“This is a cry from every slaughtered child, grieving mother, and broken elder,” the statement read. “We call on the Arab and Islamic nations, and all free people, to mobilize globally in support of Gaza.”

Organizers urged protesters to surround Israeli and U.S. embassies, disrupt supply chains aiding Israel, and oppose normalization deals with the occupation. They said mass protests would show the world that the Palestinian people have global backing.

The statement condemned the silence of the international community. It stated that Arab and Islamic governments are standing by while Israel commits crimes against humanity.

“The goals of this occupation don’t end with Gaza or the West Bank,” the statement said. “Israel seeks to dominate the entire region through violence and bloodshed.”

The health ministry reported 60 more deaths and 162 injuries in the past 24 hours. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, as emergency teams are unable to reach them.

Since Israel resumed its genocide on March 18, 2025, 1,309 Palestinians have been killed and over 3,100 injured. The total death toll since October 7 has reached 50,669, with 115,225 wounded.
