Global alliance in solidarity with Gaza to organize marches in dozens of countries

London (Quds News Network) – A coalition of pro-Palestine organizations has announced the details of the second World Day of Solidarity with the people of Gaza, with marches set to take place today in more than 100 cities across over 45 countries worldwide.
Major capitals worldwide, including London, Washington, Sydney, Istanbul, and Seoul, are expected to participate in this global event.
In the United Kingdom, a march is scheduled to commence from the Marble Arch area, adjacent to Hyde Park, in the heart of London, at 12:30 PM today, heading towards the Israeli Embassy in Kensington.
The alliance, consisting of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Stop the War Coalition, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, the Islamic Association in Britain, and Friends of Al-Aqsa, issued an urgent call to action in response to the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Rafah, southern Gaza.
“With the escalation of Israeli military operations, civilians in Rafah face imminent danger of displacement, adding to the shocking number of casualties, wounded, and displaced,” the alliance stated.
Strongly condemning all forms of Israeli aggression against the civilian population in Gaza, the alliance urged the international community to take decisive and serious measures to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity.
The alliance called for the global community to join the World Day of Solidarity with Gaza, advocating for an end to the genocide in the region and demanding freedom for Palestine.
Adnan Hmaidan, Deputy Head of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, emphasized that the second World Day of Solidarity with Gaza gains momentum with the participation of hundreds of cities and capitals worldwide.
This movement comes at a crucial time in London, just ahead of the parliamentary vote to readdress the call for a ceasefire in Gaza on the 21st of this month.
