Gilboa prison break… More details revealed

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli channel 11 revealed further details about the Gilboa prison break, in which six political detainees could escape from Israel’s most secured facility, which has been even described as being more secure than a bank safe.

The Israeli channel revealed that Israeli policemen found a shovel in the area. “This large tool was of course smuggled into their cell”, it added. “There should be an investigation into the way how they succeeded in smuggling it [the shovel]”.

“How has no one dealt with the engineering failure in the structure of the prison?”, the channel added. “There are spaces under the prison structure and they were used in 2014’s failed break attempt.”

“Have the prisoners this time used the same space to escape? During the whole digging period, jailers were supposed to carry out routine searches in the toilet as well, which has not happened.”

The channel also wondered about the fact that three out of the six prisoners were classified as “of highly escape risk”, but even though, they were put together in the same cell.

It also wondered about the reason why Israeli jailers did not spot the prisoners on surveillance cameras, noting that a female jailer in a control power was asleep.
