Germany’s Chancellor Says Israel Is ‘Doing the Dirty Work for All of Us’ by Attacking Iran

Ottawa (Quds News Network)- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed strong support for Israel’s attacks on Iran, stating that Israel is doing the “dirty work for all of us.”
In an interview with the ZDF broadcaster on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada, he said, “This is the dirty work Israel is doing for all of us. We are also victims of this regime. This mullah regime has brought death and destruction to the world.”
He added that the Europeans’ offer of diplomatic assistance, should talks resume, still stands as it did before the attacks.
“If a new situation were to arise, Germany, France and the United Kingdom would again be prepared to provide diplomatic assistance, as they were until last Thursday,” he said.

Germany has been one of Israel’s strongest allies, even intervening on Israel’s behalf in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against South Africa’s accusations of genocide in Gaza.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron seemed to criticize Israel’s strikes on Iran, telling reporters that any attempt to change the regime ruling a country from the outside was a “strategic error.”
“I think that anyone who thinks that bombing a country from outside will save it, despite itself and against its will, has always been mistaken,” the French president said.
He stressed that “the people are sovereign, and they change their leaders themselves,” adding that anyone who had attempted in the past to change regimes through military attacks made “strategic errors.”
US President Donald Trump may “decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment,” his Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday.
On Friday, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, killing top military commanders and nuclear scientists, and striking military bases, nuclear sites and residential areas across the country.
Iran has since unleashed a barrage of missile strikes on Israel in retaliation.
The Iranian Health Ministry said early Monday that at least 224 people have been killed, 90 percent of them civilians, and 1,481 wounded since Israel attacked Iran.
