George Clooney refuses to film probably-Israeli airline ad

Washington (QNN)- Speaking to The Guardian, American Actor and filmmaker George Clooney has stated that he turned down $35 million to film a one-day airline ad, probably for Israeli El-Al as he refused to name the airline.
Speaking to The Guardian about his new film, The Tender Bar, Clooney was asked about whether he now has enough money with a small anecdote.
He responded, “Well, yeah. I was offered $35m for one day’s work for an airline commercial, but I talked to Amal about it and we decided it’s not worth it.”
He added, “It was a country that, although it’s an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought: ‘Well, if it takes a minute’s sleep away from me, it’s not worth it.’”
Clooney directly linked the country to the airline, saying it’s an “ally and is questionable at times.”
Thus, reports said that it must be a state-backed carrier or at least a flag carrier.
Reports said that the commercial airline may be the flag carrier of Israel, El Al, as Clooney said he talked to his wife, Amal, and they both decided it’s not worth it.
Clooney married his wife Amal, a British-Lebanese human rights attorney, in 2014. Amal has once publicly expressed concern over Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
“I am horrified by the situation in the occupied Gaza Strip, particularly the civilian casualties that have been caused, and strongly believe that there should be an independent investigation and accountability for crimes that have been committed,” said Amal Clooney in a statement in 2014 when she was appointed by the UN’s Geneva-based Human Rights Council to serve on a three-member commission of inquiry looking into possible violations of the rules of war during the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
That time, Amal turned down the United Nations offer, saying she was too busy.
Reports also said the other likely countries are Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and the UAE.
