General strike in Beit Awwa to mourn Masalmeh

Occupied Hebron (QNN)- A general strike is being observed today in the West Bank towns of Beit Awwa and Dura in mourning of martyr Badawi Masalmeh (18 years old). Masalameh was killed yesterday by Israeli soldiers while two other young men were arrested on a bypass road near the village of Beit Awwa yesterday afternoon.

Large numbers of Israeli forces reached the area following the murder of Masalmeh, who was killed under the pretext of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a settlers’ vehicle in the West of the village. Israeli forces held the body of Masalameh and refused to hand it over to his family.

The Red Crescent had announced that its teams were prevented from reaching the area to save the young man.

Fatah movement and other bodies in the village declared a general strike, to mourt and protest the Israeli crime.
