Gaza: What Were the Messages from Palestinian Resistance During Saturday’s Handover of Six Israeli Captives?

Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Palestinian resistance in Gaza delivered messages during the handover of the six Israeli captives on Saturday as part of the seventh batch of prisoner exchange deal under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

The handover took place in three places: Rafah in southern Gaza, Nuseirat in central Gaza and Gaza City.

What were these messages?

The handover carried strong messages that reflect the on-the-ground and political realities in the Gaza Strip, especially in the context of the assault and its consequences.

“Take off your shoes, for every inch of this land is soaked in the blood of martyrs,” a banner was seen on the platform of the handover, referring to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against innocent civilians in Gaza during the assault.

“We can change history,” this banner was also raised in the handover, featuring the words of the Qassam Chief of Staff, Mohammed Deif. His words firstly broadcasted in Al Jazeera’s the Tip of Iceberg program, where Al-Qassam leaders were preparing for the “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation.

The Qassam also displayed the pictures of its leaders killed in the assault along with a banner that read, “We are the flood.. We are the extreme strength.”

Another banner displayed during the handover in Nuseirat read, “The land distinguishes its people from the dual nationality foreigners.” The banner emphasized that the land, which can identify and distinguish its rightful owners, belongs to the Palestinians, not to those who unlawfully occupy it. It also served as a response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed “takeover” plans for Gaza.

Another banner read, “The day after will be Palestinian,” directly challenging Israeli threats to eliminate the group from Gaza and confronting Trump’s plans.
