Gaza teen dies from IOF gunfire sustained during border protests

Gaza (QNN) – A Palestinian teenager identified as Belal Mahmoud Najjar, 17, died on Saturday evening from wounds sustained by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire during the protests at Gaza border on the 43rd anniversary of the Land Day, bringing the number of Palestinians killed by IOF on the same day to four.

Najjar had earlier been shot and critically injured by Israeli soldiers east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. He was moved to Gaza European Hospital before he was announced dead of his wounds.

Thousands of Palestinians took to the east border of Gaza on Saturday to mark the Land Day and the first anniversary of the launch of the Great March of Return protests, which so far claimed the lives of more than 220 Palestinians since March 30, 2018.
