Gaza Resistance Launches Rockets Toward Occupied Jerusalem on Day 449
Occupied Jerusalem (Quds News Network)- The Israeli military reported rocket fire from northern Gaza toward occupied Jerusalem on Saturday evening.
In a statement, the military confirmed the launch of two rockets at 4:14 PM local time. The rockets triggered alarms in the occupied capital city, western Negev, and the coastal plain.
“Attempts to intercept the rockets were made, and the details are under examination,” the military stated.
Israeli forces later found fragments of the rockets near the targeted areas.
A reporter for the Israeli Army Radio highlighted an unusual aspect of the attack. “The rockets came from Beit Hanoun, not the central Gaza Strip or Khan Younis, which are Hamas’s usual launch areas,” he noted. Beit Hanoun has been a focus of Israeli ground operations for over a year.
Channel 13 reported that the Israeli military believes Hamas still possesses rockets capable of reaching Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the Israeli news outlet Walla quoted southern command officials who stated that Gaza’s resistance groups are actively rebuilding their rocket capabilities.
This marks a significant development as Israel and the US have repeatedly claimed that Israel’s genocide has destroyed the resistance’s capabilities.
