Gaza refutes Israeli claims about Yazidi woman, exposes fabricated story

Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Government Media Office has vehemently rejected what a false and fabricated story promoted by Israeli military spokespeople regarding a Yazidi woman who had been residing in the Gaza Strip. In a statement issued on Friday, the office stressed that the Israeli military has been distorting the facts to whitewash its image amidst ongoing genocide.

The media office clarified the details of the Yazidi woman’s story, countering Israeli claims that she had been held against her will. The woman had initially married a Palestinian man from Khan Younis, who had fought in the Syrian opposition forces. After his death in Syria, she voluntarily traveled along with her deceased husband’s mother to Turkey and later Egypt before settling in Gaza. Years later, she remarried her late husband’s brother, who was subsequently killed in the current Israeli military genocide in Gaza.

Following her second husband’s death, the woman sought protection from the Palestinian authorities. The media office confirmed that the government had provided her with secure accommodation, food, and essential supplies, along with other foreign nationals seeking refuge during the ongoing Israeli genocide.

The statement also pointed out that the woman, who is over 25 years old, had expressed her desire to leave Gaza due to the intensifying Israeli bombardment. After contacting her family, arrangements were made for her safe passage out of Gaza through coordination between Jordanian authorities and Israeli forces at the Kerem Shalom crossing. The office strongly denied the Israeli claim that the woman had been “rescued,” emphasizing that she left with full knowledge of her late husband’s family and the Palestinian government.

“The narrative Israel is trying to sell is baseless,” the office stated. “This woman crossed several international airports and borders without issue—how could she have been ‘kidnapped’ as Israel claims?”

The media office also condemned the Israeli military for the brutal killing of the woman’s husband, labeling it a war crime. “This is the same military that has turned her life into a tragedy, leaving her a widow in the process. Israel’s actions have devastated countless families in Gaza, including many foreign nationals,” the statement said.

The office called on the media and international community to reject Israel’s fabricated accounts, which is attempting to distract from its atrocities. “We urge all global media outlets to see through Israel’s attempts to improve its blood-stained image. The world must recognize and denounce the ongoing crimes against humanity in Gaza, which target civilians, including foreign nationals.”

The Gaza Government Media Office concluded by holding both Israel and the US government accountable for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for immediate international intervention to halt the violence.
