Gaza Marks Ramadan Amid Displacement and Destruction

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Palestinians in Gaza have welcomed the holy month of Ramadan with celebrations and decorations amid destruction and displacement following Israel’s 15-month assault on the enclave.
In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, displaced families have come together for communal suhoor. Gathering in the early hours, they share this meal in tents which were flooded with rain as the people strive to maintain a sense of community during these difficult times.

Traditionally, Ramadan in Gaza is a time of vibrant decorations and communal prayers. However, this year, many families mourn the loss of loved ones and cope with the absence of their homes. The streets, once illuminated with festive lights, now bear the marks of assault, with decorations replaced by graves and remnants of destroyed structures.
This is the view from my tent today. I think the world forgot how much trauma Gaza is going through. What we saw and what we're still experiencing is nothing a human should ever have to deal with.
Regardless, we continue to live. Ramadan Mubarak 🌙 pic.twitter.com/AgCaTAvubC
