Gaza Farmers’ Union to prevent entry of Israeli fruits in response to onerous conditions

Gaza (QNN)- The head of Gaza’s farmers’ union, Abdul Sattar Sha’ath, on Tuesday said that the union will initiate a series of activities, including preventing the entry of Israeli fruits to the enclave, in response to the Israeli onerous conditions on Palestinian agricultural exports.

Sha’ath said in a radio interview that the occupation state is preventing the exportation of tomatoes from Gaza unless farmers remove tomatoes’ pedicels, which would decrease their quality and hasten their damage.

He added that the occupation state wants to flood Gaza’s markets with Israeli products. He noted that if the occupation state does not comply with the union’s demands, farmers will initiate a series of escalating activities.
