Gaza Appeals to Russia and China to Halt US-Backed Genocide as Israel Declares Jabalia a Military Zone, Targeting All Movement
Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Government Media Office has issued a dire appeal to Russia and China, urging them to intervene against US support for Israel as the later is wiping out entire areas. Israeli forces have declared Jabalia refugee camp a military zone, targeting and killing everyone moving, including those attempting to secure food and aid.
The Civil Defense spokesperson told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces have surrounded Jabalia refugee camp and are actively preventing civilians from leaving, even targeting medical teams attempting to provide assistance. “The occupation is deliberately destroying homes and infrastructure to forcibly displace Palestinians,” the spokesperson said, adding that Israel’s actions amount to intentional killings.
The head of Gaza’s Government Media Office also spoke to Al Jazeera, confirming that Israel is enacting a long-planned ethnic cleansing operation in northern Gaza. He revealed that more than 950 doctors and nurses have been killed, and 15 vital sectors in the region have collapsed under Israeli attacks.
“We are counting on Russia and China to stand against the US administration’s complicity in this genocide,” he said, denouncing the international community’s silence in the face of ongoing massacres. “Israel is conducting a full-scale genocidal war against the Palestinian people, with the death toll exceeding 17,000 children and 11,000 women.”
The health system in northern Gaza has been particularly devastated, with only two out of four hospitals still functioning. Israeli forces have bombarded shelters and prevented fuel from reaching hospitals, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis for over 400,000 residents in the area.
Just hours before these statements, Israeli airstrikes in the densely populated Beit Lahia area resulted in a massacre, killing 73 civilians, mostly women and children, and leaving many more injured or missing. This attack is part of a systematic ethnic cleansing campaign by Israel, aimed at uprooting the Palestinian population in northern Gaza.
The devastation is further compounded by Israel cutting off communications and internet services, deepening the isolation of the besieged population and creating a severe humanitarian crisis.
